From the alternating current induction motor, magnetism, X-rays, flying machines, wireless transmission of electromagnetic energy, and more, his discoveries have had a profound impact on the way we live today.
As an inventor, Tesla gained recognition by demonstrating his achievements to famous individuals and wealthy patrons of his laboratory. He was also famous for giving public lectures, sharing his knowledge with others. In the 1890s, Tesla conducted high-voltage and high-frequency experiments in New York and Colorado Springs, which were in line with his ideas of wireless lighting and global wireless distribution of electricity. In 1893, he made statements about the possibility of wireless communication with his devices. Tesla attempted to use these ideas in his unfinished Wardenclyffe Tower project, which was intended for intercontinental wireless communication and power transmission. Unfortunately, he ran out of funds before he could complete it.
