Marian Walter
Born in Thuringia, Marian Walter trained at Berlin’s State Ballet School, where he refined his skills as a classical dancer. After beginning his professional career with the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich from 2000 to 2002, he returned to Berlin and joined the Berlin State Ballet in 2002.
As a First Solo Dancer for over a decade with the Berlin State Ballet, he built an impressive career, performing leading roles in some of the most celebrated ballet productions. His repertoire includes Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, and the title role in John Cranko’s Onegin. His exceptional artistry and dedication to ballet were recognized in 2018 when he was awarded the honorary title of Berlin Chamber Dancer (Berliner Kammertänzer).
Since 2023, Marian Walter has been working as a freelancer and resident dancer with the Berlin Ballet Company. From 2021 to 2023, he was a Guest Principal at the Berlin State Ballet.
