Matteo Beeckman

Matteo Beeckman was born in Switzerland, lived in Greece for several years, and moved to Belgium when he was five. He began his dance training at the age of nine, studying contemporary dance with Arlekino in Antwerp. He then continued with six years of training at the Royal Ballet School Antwerp, where he graduated in 2022. Beeckman has danced with the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, where he performed in ballets choreographed by Akram Khan, Lisi Estaras, Nicola Wills, William Forsythe, and Richard Siegal. He then joined the Ballet of the Greek National Opera in Athens. At the beginning of the current 2024/2025 season, he joined the Ballet of the Slovene National Theatre Maribor.
